Today was mainly a travelling day but despite that MLW managed to top up the work based steps challenge by over 12,000 steps.
After leaving the hotel MLW and the YCM went for a quick play and I met them at the St. Anne’s Well and topped up our 10 litre bottle, and drinking bottles. We met and set off for Yorkshire.
We avoided main roads and even encountered some steep cobbled roads, which after a few hairy moments, we discovered that they were not dead ends and the car could get up them. The views across the peaks were magnificent and allowed plenty of sheep and cow/calf spotting.
Arriving at the campsite early afternoon, we all put the tent up and guess what? There’s a play area at the campsite.
We had a little trip out to Hebden Bridge for a look round and an ice cream and a cheeky canal walk too. There was play park there, but we managed to avoid it by distracting the YCM with a lock.
I cooked tea whilst the ladies went for a stroll across the moor. They were back when it was ready so we ate, washed up and went for a walk all together. We found that the camp site is home to rabbits, tiny and cute ones. It wouldn’t be a problem if one happened to hop in the car...
Then. It was time for bed. It’s still light. Any bets on what time we’ll be up tomorrow?
